Others: There's many things that have been said about his departure. He left the band after a breaking up between Amy and him. Amy and Ben formed the band and they got all the power, but Amy wanted that to change and wanted ALL the band to decide of everything, but Ben wasn't okay. Some say that he left because of his break up with Amy. And finally other say that Evanescence couldn't go on with Ben and Amy together. They decided that one of them should left the band, and it would be better if it was Ben. His departure was known, but not so fast... Anyway, his departure changed the band.

After his departure from Evanescence, he composed a few song for the Avril Lavigne last album. She said he was a really good writter and Ben said he was satisfied of their collaboration. After that, he didn't do anything for a while, but now he's coming back with a collaboration with the singer Anastacia, which is on the "4 fantastic" album. Their beautiful song is named "Everything Burns" and you can download it on his official website. In an interview according to billboard he declared that "Sometimes, the most inspired duet are those that are least expecting... This is a spectacular song, with a crackling rock edge that will scorch the summer airwaves!"
